XCred is a product of Alan Innovations Limited, a Nigerian company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly (name, email, phone, BVN), information from your bank (transaction history with your consent), and technical data (device, IP, app usage) needed to operate the service and assess credit.
How we use it
We use your data to verify your identity, assess your eligibility for credit, process repayments, comply with applicable law, and improve our service. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Who we share it with
We share strictly what is necessary with our CBN-licensed lending partner, regulators, our payment processors, and credit bureaus recognised under Nigerian law. Every partner is bound by confidentiality and NDPR obligations.
Your rights
Under the NDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the NDPC. Email alan@thexcred.comand we'll respond within statutory timelines.
How we protect it
Your personal data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorized personnel under audit. Sensitive identifiers such as your BVN are never stored in plain text.
